Let's take a look at some easy, effective on the spot
relaxation techniques that can truly be done in five minutes or less to reduce
your stress and improve your hearing health!
Here are the top 10
that I found:
1.
Meditate: any source of repetitive action is a source
of meditation (walking, knitting, etc.).
2.
Picture Yourself Relaxed: visualize
yourself in a calm place (favorite vacation spot, wearing your favorite cozy
sweater, etc.)
3.
Breathe Deep: inhale deep and exhale letting your upper body
collapse with your breath.
4.
Look Around: focus on the detail of your surroundings (the
colors outside, the store's window displays, etc.)
5.
Drink Hot Tea: green, black and Chamomile are the best!
6.
Social Interaction: pet your pets, give a hug, share good news
with a friend - it will help decrease your stress levels.
7.
Try a Self Massage.
8.
Take a Break: Remove yourself from the situation and take a
few minutes to refocus and relax.
9.
Switch your Attitude: refocus your thoughts on things that you
recall which made you feel good and laugh a little – laughter is still the best
medicine!
10.
Listen to Music: experts say that music can calm the heart and
soothe the soul.
